Why We Built This Site
Louisiana's public records law gives residents a broad right to inspect what government offices keep, and Claiborne Parish offices follow it. The hard part is not the rule. It is knowing which counter to walk up to. A warrant does not live in one place. In this parish a felony charge runs through the Second Judicial District Court, Division A, sitting at the courthouse in Homer. The Claiborne Parish Clerk of Court keeps the criminal index for that docket and can pull the case file. The sheriff's Civil Office serves the papers the district court issues and publishes the parish bench warrant list.
The lower courts do not report into any of that. Mayor's courts in Homer, Haynesville, Athens, and Lisbon handle town ordinance and traffic matters, and three justice of the peace courts cover the rural districts. A bench warrant from a town ticket may sit with that town court and never appear on a parish list at all. Louisiana has no public statewide warrant portal either; the state police network that holds that data is reserved for authorized criminal justice users. It is easy to check one office, come up empty, and wrongly believe the question is settled. We wrote down the address, phone number, hours, and request route for each office so a reader can begin in the right spot.

What We Cannot Do
We run a private reference site. We have no connection to the Second Judicial District Court, the Claiborne Parish Clerk of Court, the sheriff's office, or any state agency. The limits on what we can offer are real:
- We cannot run an official warrant check or confirm that a warrant exists for any person
- We cannot recall, quash, serve, or clear a warrant in any system
- We cannot accept a bond payment or any other money toward a warrant
- We cannot schedule a surrender, a first appearance, or a walk-through at the courthouse
- We cannot give legal advice or say how a particular charge, bond, or court date applies to you
- We cannot promise that every address, phone number, fee, or posted list is current today
Only the court that issued a warrant or the sheriff's office that holds it can confirm whether the warrant is still outstanding, and only the issuing court can recall it. We can route you to that office, but the answer has to come from them.
Search Partners
Some pages on this site carry a search box run by an outside company. Those providers set their own prices, keep their own records, and answer to their own policies. If one of their tools leads you to a paid signup, we may receive a referral fee, and that money keeps this site free to read. We do not control what the tool charges, how it stores what you type, or what it returns. A result from one of those boxes is not an official warrant check, and it should never be treated as one.
