Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
When you enter a name, a date of birth, or a case number into one of the search boxes on this site, that text goes directly to the outside provider that runs the tool. The provider processes the query and sends back the results. We do not keep or log the terms you type on our end.
Messages and Contact Submissions
If you email us, we retain that message so we can write back. It stays inside our own group. We will not hand it to anyone outside the organization unless a legal obligation compels us to.
Data We Gather Automatically
Each time a page on this site loads, our servers record a few technical details about the visit:
- The IP address assigned to the device you are using
- Your browser and its version
- The type of device and the operating system behind it
- Which pages you opened and how long each one stayed on screen
- The site that referred you here, when there is one
- A timestamp for every page view
Cookies and Analytics
This site uses cookies, the small files a site stores on your device. They let us see how visitors move through the pages, which ones draw the most traffic, and where people tend to stop reading. Analytics services help us roll that traffic data into aggregate numbers. You can block cookies through your browser settings at any time. Be aware that some parts of the site may not behave the same way once you do.
What We Do With This Data
- Keeping the site online, stable, and quick to load
- Routing your search request to the right partner service
- Learning which pages readers find useful and which ones need another look
- Finding and fixing technical problems
- Showing advertising that may match your interests
No Warrant Data on File
This site does not host, compile, maintain, or sell any database of warrants or personal warrant records. What it publishes is general guidance about where Claiborne Parish warrant records are kept and how to reach them, whether that is the sheriff's Civil Office, the Clerk of Court, the district court, a mayor's court, or a justice court. Louisiana's public records law, La. R.S. 44:1 et seq., governs what those government offices may release and who may ask, and it is the office that controls a record, not this site. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and nothing we collect about visitors is assembled into consumer reports or files about other people.
Third-Party Search Partners
The search boxes on this site are powered by outside companies. Whatever you type into one of those tools is handled under the partner's privacy policy, not this one. Each partner decides how long it keeps data and who it shares with, and we have no say in those decisions. Read the partner's policy before you submit a search.
Links to Other Websites
All through the site we link to sheriff's office pages, court portals, state agencies, legal aid groups, and outside search tools. Following one of those links takes you away from this site, and from that point the other site's privacy policy applies to your visit. Read it before you share personal details.
Some advertising partners may follow your activity across websites in order to target ads. That tracking happens on their systems, not ours.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal data. A limited amount of information may reach:
- Search partners that handle the queries you run here
- Analytics providers we use to measure traffic and performance
- Advertising networks that place ads on our pages
- Law enforcement or another government body when a valid legal order requires it
How We Protect Your Data
We follow standard security practices to protect the data we collect. Even so, no system connected to the internet is bulletproof. We take reasonable steps to keep your information secure, but we cannot promise that a breach will never occur.
Users Under 18
This site is built for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has given us data, contact us and we will remove it promptly.
Your Data Rights
Records that a government office keeps about you are governed by Louisiana's public records law, La. R.S. 44:1 et seq., and La. R.S. 44:3 sets out the law enforcement exceptions that can keep some of that material out of public view. Those rules apply to the offices that hold the record, not to this site. As a visitor here, you can:
- Ask for a copy of whatever we hold about you
- Have us correct information that is wrong
- Ask us to erase your data
- Refuse certain kinds of data processing
Updates to This Policy
This privacy policy may change as the site does. When that happens, the new version goes up on this page with a fresh effective date. Come back to this page if you want to track how your information is handled.
Effective date: September 14, 2026
